Hannah Trobaugh selected for Student Senate

Hannah Trobaugh, of Amherst, has been selected as a member of the Holyoke Community College Student Senate for the Spring 2016 semester.

The Student Senate represents the voice of students to the administration of the college. The senate provides and promotes a partnership in governance among all segments of the college community to ensure the welfare of HCC as an institution and the student body as a whole. Throughout the year, the Student Senate plans and participates in activities and events that contribute to the college and the surrounding community.

To be considered for the Student Senate, a student must be currently enrolled at the college for at least one credit, have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5*, be recommended by a staff or faculty member*, complete an application and obtain signatures from 50 other students.

(* First semester students are exempt from these requirements.)

The Student Senate meets weekly during the fall and spring semesters.
