Jeffery Anderson named to Student Senate

2013 Oct 24

Holyoke Community College is proud to welcome Jeffery Anderson, of Holyoke, as a member of the Student Senate for the Fall 2013 semester.

The Student Senate represents the voice of the students to the administration of the college. Student Senators provide and promote a partnership in governance among all segments of the college community. They aim to represent their constituents to ensure the welfare of HCC as an institution and the student body as a whole.

To serve on the Student Senate, students must be enrolled at the college for at least one credit, have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 (unless they are first semester students), be recommended by an HCC staff or faculty member, collect signatures from 50 HCC students and write a statement of interest explaining why they want to serve.

Throughout the year, the Senate plans and participates in activities and events that contribute to the college and the surrounding community.
