Joshua Wielgosz on theater production crew

2016 Oct 6

Joshua Wielgosz, of Holyoke, has been selected as a member of HCC's Fall 2016 theater production team.

The HCC Theater Department will present "An American Daughter," by Wendy Wasserstein Nov. 17-19 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance on Sat., Nov, 19 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the Leslie Phillips Theater, in HCC's Fine and Performing Arts building.

The production team performs critical offstage roles in the planning and execution of theater performances, such as set design, wardrobe, props, lighting, sound and stage management.

The play is being directed by HCC alumna Denise Boutin, '77.

The play, set in Washington D.C., focuses on Dr. Lyssa Dent Hughes, a health care expert and 40-something daughter of a long-time senator. When the president nominates Lyssa to a cabinet post, an indiscretion from her past is discovered. The media turns it into a scandal that imperils her confirmation and divides her family and friends.

The Fri., Nov. 18, show will be ASL-Interpreted.

Tickets are $10 (general admission); $8 for students and seniors; and $5 for members of the HCC community (students, staff and faculty) with a valid I.D.
