Lucien Dalton on theater production crew

2015 Mar 6

Lucien Dalton, of Amherst, has been selected as a member of HCC's Spring 2015 theater production team.

The HCC Theater Department will present the Tennessee Williams' classic, The Glass Menagerie, April 23-25 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance on Saturday, April 25, at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the Leslie Phillips Theater, in HCC's Fine and Performing Arts building.

The production team performs critical offstage roles in the planning and execution of theater performances, such as set design, wardrobe, props, lighting, sound and stage management.

The play is being directed by theater teacher Tom Geha, with set design by HCC theater professor Chris Hoyt.

The Glass Menagerie is one of the most famous plays of the modern theater. It is often called Tennessee Williams' best play, as well as his most autobiographical. It's a four-character memory play about a faded Southern belle named Amanda Wingfield, her mentally fragile daughter Laura, and Amanda's son Tom, who desperately longs to escape their small, rundown, St. Louis apartment and the life it holds.

Tickets are $10 (general admission); $8 for students and seniors; and $5 for members of the HCC community (students, staff and faculty) with a valid I.D.
