Members of the Class of 2025 received their diplomas or certificates May 31 at HCC's 78th Commencement exercises at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass.

Each academic term, Holyoke Community College recognizes superior scholarship through the Dean's List. A student is placed on the Dean's List if his or her G.P.A. is 3.2 or higher. These students have earned Dean's List honors for Summer 2025.

Every spring, graduates of HCC's Associate in Science in Nursing program are recognized with a traditional pinning ceremony during which they are inducted into the health care field as soon-to-be registered nursing professionals. They light candles, are "pinned" by a registered nurse, and recite the Nightingale Pledge. This year, the college celebrated graduates of its ASN program on Thursday, May 22, in the Leslie Phillips Theater.

At the conclusion of each academic year, Holyoke Community College recognizes students with honors and awards for outstanding achievement and performance in a wide array of academic areas and extracurricular pursuits. Awardees for the 2024-2025 academic year were honored during an in-person ceremony on Wed., May 21, in the Leslie Phillips Theater. Congratulations to this year's award winners!

This year, the Holyoke Community College Foundation awarded 410 scholarships worth $364,400 to new, current, and transferring HCC students for the 2025-2026 academic year. These scholarships have been made possible through the generosity of alumni, friends, faculty, trustees, and community-minded corporations. Congratulations to this year's recipients, who were celebrated at a special reception on May 15.

Congratulations to all the students selected for awards by the HCC Visual Art faculty. They were recognized Thursday, April 17, during an evening reception opening the 2025 Student Art Exhibition in the Taber Art Gallery.

Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize the students participating in HCC's Spring 2025 theater production of "True West," by Sam Shepard. The play, directed by HCC Theater Professor Tim Cochran, will be presented in HCC's Black Box Theater (FPA 111) April 16-19 at 7:30 p.m., with an additional 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, April 19.

Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize all the students accepted for membership into the Alpha Xi Omega chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for the 2024-2025 academic year. Students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa when they have completed 15 college credits while maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher. New inductees were recognized during a campus celebration on May 5.
