Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize the students and alumni participating in HCC's Fall 2022 theater production of "Men On Boats," by Jaclyn Backhaus and directed by HCC theater professor Pat Sandoval '84. The play will be presented in HCC's Leslie Phillips Theater Nov. 17-19 at 7:30 p.m., with a Sat., Nov. 19, matinee at 2 p.m.

This year, the Holyoke Community College Foundation awarded more than 300 scholarships worth close to $400,000 to new, current, and transferring HCC students. These scholarships have been made possible through the generosity of alumni, friends, faculty, trustees, and community-minded corporations. Scholarship awardees for the 2022-2023 academic year were celebrated at a special reception on Wed, Nov. 9. Congratulations to this year's recipients!

Each academic term, Holyoke Community College recognizes superior scholarship through the Dean's List. Students are placed on the Dean's List if their G.P.A. is 3.2 or higher. These students have earned Dean's List honors for the Summer 2022 term.

Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize the following students who have completed their graduation requirements for the 2021-2022 academic year. This includes those who graduated in Dec. 2021, Jan. 2022, June 2022, and Aug. 2022. Members of the Class of 2022 received their diplomas or certificates June 4 at HCC's 75th Commencement exercises at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass.

Each academic term, Holyoke Community College recognizes superior scholarship through the Dean's List. Students are placed on the Dean's List if their G.P.A. is 3.2 or higher. These students have earned Dean's List honors for the Spring 2022 term.

Every spring, graduates of HCC's Associate in Science in Nursing program are recognized with a traditional pinning ceremony during which they are inducted into the health care field as soon-to-be registered nursing professionals. They light candles, are "pinned" by a registered nurse, and recite the Nightingale Pledge. This year, the college celebrated graduates of its ASN program with an in-person pinning ceremony on Thursday, May 26, at HCC's Center for Health Education & Simulation.

Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize all the students accepted for membership into the Alpha Xi Omega chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for Spring 2022. Students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa when they have completed 15 college credits while maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The new inductees were recognized during an online celebration on May 4.

Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize the students and alumni participating in HCC's Spring 2022 theater production of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," directed by HCC theater professor Tim Cochran. The play will be presented in HCC's Leslie Phillips Theater April 21-23, at 7:30 p.m., with a Sat., April 23, matinee at 2 p.m.

At the conclusion of each academic year, Holyoke Community College recognizes students with honors and awards for outstanding achievement and performance in a wide array of academic areas and extracurricular pursuits. Awardees were honored in a virtual ceremony on Wed., May 18. Congratulations to this year's award winners!

Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize the students and alumni participating in HCC's Spring 2021 theater production, "In These Times," an original livestreaming show inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic, directed by HCC theater professor Patricia Sandoval, in collaboration with HCC's Music and Visual Art departments. The virtual who will be presented April 15-17, at 7:30 p.m. on YouTube, with an April 17 matinee at 2 p.m.

Holyoke Community College and HCC Student Activities celebrated the achievements and accomplishments of students who participated in student clubs at the 2020 Club Appreciation and Awards Ceremony on Fri., May 15, which was held remotely this year because of COVID-19. The students receiving this merit badge were recognized in a variety of different categories including leadership, teamwork, spirit and commitment. Individual clubs and advisors were also honored for their work.

Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize the students who appear on stage in HCC's Fall 2019 theater production, "Our Town," as well as those working behind the scenes in technical and production positions. The HCC Theater Department will present Thornton Wilder's American classic about daily life, love and death in a small New Enland town Nov. 7-9 in the Leslie Phillips Theater in HCC's Fine & Performing Arts Building. The play is directed by Patricia Sandoval with stage design by Matthew Whiton.
