Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize the following students who have completed their graduation requirements for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Each Spring, Holyoke Community College recognizes students with honors and awards for outstanding achievement and performance in a wide array of academic areas and extracurricular pursuits. These students have received awards for the 2013-2014 academic year and will be honored at a ceremony on the evening of May 29 in HCC's Leslie Phillips Theater. Congratulations to you all!

The Holyoke Community College Foundation awards more than 150 endowed scholarships each year to deserving students. These scholarships, for new, current and transferring students, have been made possible through the generosity of alumni, friends, faculty, trustees and community-minded corporations. Congratulations to all of this year's recipients!

Holyoke Community College and HCC Student Activities celebrated the achievements and accomplishments of students who participate in student clubs at the 2014 Club Appreciation and Awards Ceremony on Wed., April 30. The students receiving this merit badge were recognized in a variety of different categories.

Congratulations to the students selected as members of HCC's fall 2014 theater production team. The HCC Players will present Living Out, a play by Lisa Loomer, April 24-26 in HCC's Leslie Phillips Theater. The production team performs critical offstage roles in the planning and execution of theater performances, such as set design, wardrobe, props, lighting, sound and stage management.

Congratulations to all those students selected to appear in HCC's Spring theater production, Living Out, a play by Lisa Loomer. The HCC Players will present Living Out April 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee performance April 26 at 2 p.m. in the Leslie Phillips Theater in HCC's Fine & Performing Arts Building. The play is being directed by HCC theater professor Patricia Sandoval.

Each semester, Holyoke Community College recognizes superior scholarship through the Dean's List. A student is placed on the Dean's List if his or her G.P.A. is 3.2 or higher. These students have earned Dean's List honors for the Fall 2013 semester.

Congratulations to all the students who have earned a spot on the roster of the HCC Women's Basketball team for the 2013-2014 season.

Congratulations to all those students selected to appear in HCC's fall theater production, The Foreigner, a play by Larry Shue. The HCC Players will present The Foreigner Nov. 14-16 and Nov. 21-23 in the Leslie Phillips Theater in HCC's Fine & Performing Arts Building. The play is directed by HCC theater professor Tom Geha.

Holyoke Community College recognizes the commitment of its student-athletes and congratulates the members of the Women's Volleyball team for all their hard work during the fall 2013 season.

Congratulations to the HCC women's soccer team, the 2013 NJCAA New England champions! The Lady Cougars earned the title by defeating Massasoit Community College 2-0 Oct. 26. The following day, the team beat Suffolk Community College to win a spot in the Elite Eight and a chance to compete for a national title.

The HCC Student Senate represents the voice of the students to the administration of the college. Student Senators provide and promote a partnership in governance among all segments of the college community. They aim to represent their constituents to ensure the welfare of HCC as an institution and the student body as a whole. Throughout the year, the Senate plans and participates in activities and events that contribute to the college and the surrounding community.

Holyoke Community College is proud to announce the new members of the campus chapter of Psi Beta. Psi Beta is a national honors society in psychology for community colleges, recognized by the American Psychological Association, the leading scientific and professional organization for psychology in the United States.

Holyoke Community College is proud to announce its Green Key Honor Society members for the 2013-2014 school year. The Green Key Honor Society is a leadership and service organization dedicated to representing HCC at community and college events. Members serve the entire college community as tour guides, hosts, and ushers at special events such as orientation, college fairs, and information sessions.

Each fall, Holyoke Community College recognizes the academic excellence of students who have achieved a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, or higher, after completing a minimum of 30 semester hours of work at HCC. This year, 298 HCC students have achieved Honors status. Congratulations to them for all their hard work!
